When the pandemic hits, car videos are your friends

The coronavirus pandemic is keeping most of us locked inside our houses, so it’s crucial to find ways to stay away from the depression and anxiety that usually come with isolation. Sure, there’s always Netflix and hobbies, but if you love cars, Supercar Blondie is a cool YouTube channel to follow. In her latest episode, Supercar Blondie is taking a look at the BMW Concept i4, the all-electric sedan that will go into production in 2021. And you can also learn a few cool details about it.

The sporty looking sedan is set to hit the assembly line in 2021, and the good news is that 85-percent of what you see will arrive in showrooms. BMW isn’t planning to change much on this so-called concept car, so if you’re okay with the design, you’re in for a treat once the production model hits the road.

Essentially an all-electric 3 Series with a coupe-style roof, this concept is actually based on the Vision Dynamics that BMW introduced back in 2017. The i4 is closer to a production model in terms of design and features and promises impressive specifications. The range is expected to debut with an sDrive80 model that features an 80-kWh battery and an electric motor rated at 523 horsepower. It will hit 62 mph in four seconds, toward a top speed of 124 mph. While the base model will be able to run for 270 miles per charge, a more expensive variant will return up to 373 miles per charge.
