It’s the only one you can buy, but it costs as much as a Ferrari!

Built from 2010 to 2019, the first-generation Nissan Juke was a really popular crossover. It looked rather strange on the outside, but it grew on people. On top of that, it was available with a wide range of engines and a decent interior in terms of space and features. But the Juke wasn’t particularly powerful until 2013 when the 197-horsepower Nismo model was launched. Things became really wild for the same model year, as Nissan announced the Juke-R, fitted with the GT-R’s twin-turbo V-6 engine. Only five were built, and just one made it onto the streets. And you can buy that specific model for a whopping $324,000.

he Nissan Juke-R is a conversion made by RML

Although Nissan has plenty of experience with creating fast cars, the Japanese firm approached RML Group to turn the Juke into a GT-R-powered monster. The beefed-up crossover was reportedly created in 22 weeks, and the end result is the most menacing Juke ever built. It features a carbon-fiber body kit with bigger bumpers, wheel arch extensions, a rear wing, and a race-inspired diffuser. It’s also fitted with Nismo racing seats and Nissan GT-R R35 controls inside the cabin.

Of course, the biggest challenge was to swap the Juke’s small four-cylinder engine with the twin-turbo, 3.8-liter V-6 mill in the Nissan GT-R. RML also upgraded the air intake, gearbox, and exhaust for this model. It also replaced the standard suspension with an adjustable one with parts from Nitron, SPL, and Superpro. Brakes from the GT-R were also added to handle the massive power.

The crossover comes with 600 horsepower on tap, which means that it can hit 60 mph in only three seconds. This is an insane figure as the Juke-R is only marginally slower than the Lamborghini Urus.

The Nissan Juke-R was built in five units

Although Nissan’s initial plan included 23 units, the Juke-R was almost canceled, and only five left the assembly line. Two examples were crashed and are no longer working, while two are being kept by Nissan. This leaves just one car available to be driven on public roads. And you can buy it via VDM Cars.

The bad news is that this Juke is incredibly expensive. VDM wants €299,990 for it, which converts to around $324,000 as of May 2020. That’s way more than any other Nissan on the market, even the GT-R Nismo. This Juke-R actually costs as much as a Ferrari F8 Tributo or McLaren 720S and around $100,000 more than the Lamborghini Urus. So, would you get this unique Juke-R, or would you buy a Urus and save some cash instead?
