The realm of custom builds as you may know, really has no bounds. If you thought you’ve seen it all then think again because when it comes to weird transformations, this Bentley pick-up certainly defies the odds. Yes, you heard that right, a beautiful Continental Flying Spur has been transformed into one of the strangest vehicles on the planet. Dubbed, the Decadence, this Bentley Truck is the result of 18 grueling months of hard work.

Overview

Brands like Bentley and Rolls-Royce offer their clients a vast array of services and customization options but there are some things they might never do, such as converting a sedan into a pickup truck. I mean if you can only remember as to what people made of the first sketches of the Bentayga or Cullinan, you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about. The notion of a Bentley or a Rolls Royce SUV was preposterous. But hey, that’s where the market was headed.

But what if you need a work truck and no other luxury car but a Bentley will do? Well, DC Customs based in England might just be able to address that question. Recently, a fanboy who loves his Bentley’s and trucks commissioned a one-off build to the British firm. DC Customs at the request of the client has now created this custom Bentley pickup truck based on a Flying Spur.

The Modifications

A 2005 Continental Flying Spur sedan, served as the foundation for this one-of-a-kind project. Consequently, the work was done from the B-pillar to the back. The second-row seats have been removed. The wheelbase has not been shortened, although the cabin is now strictly designed to accommodate only two people.

The body behind the cabin is built in a boat design and trimmed with teak wood. I have to say that the form resembles that of an Aussie Ute. The Decadence also features a wood-paneled cargo box with a large open space and some drawers.

Although the bed may be waterproof, it doesn’t look like it is designed to carry construction materials because the high-quality woodwork isn’t hard-wearing and it might end up getting damaged. In order to retain the stock factory look and the luxury aspect of the vehicle, DC Customs used genuine Bentley chrome trim for the edge of the custom-made glass windows.

Performance

As understated as it might have been back in the day, the Continental Flying Spur consistently comes in as one of the fastest sedans in the world. With a Volkswagen sourced twin-turbo W-12 engine under the hood that produces 583 horsepower, it comes as no surprise that the Bentley back then offered such record-breaking performance.

On this modified pickup truck model, with the lighter weight, I am sure that this engine should offer some staggering performance even today. With this potent powerplant, the Decadence has to be one of the most powerful trucks on the market.

To Sum it Up

DC Customs did not reveal the name of the client who requested this makeover. Although the owner will most likely become famous rather quickly given this strange build. The company did also not reveal the cost of carrying out these mods.

The purple low-slung pickup will go through a professional picture shoot in a few days before being delivered to the lucky owner, who will apparently use it as a daily driver. DC Customs regards this build as one of their most difficult challenges to date.
