DDr Sp4

The DDR SP4 has been developed using the very popular Toyota MR-2 SW20 Turbo as the chosen platform that was available from 1990 through 1996, a very stout and powerful automobile that allows for plenty of performance punch in both stock or modified forms. The DDR will now be fabricated in the US.

This is a car that is being built with the sports car concept as the number one priority. This means that we are shooting for it to have great handling, bucket (but comfortable) seats, even the option to install a stereo system, as well as different wheel/tire/brake packages for the different power levels.

The concept behind the car is simple, make an affordable Supercar. This was the idea behind Diego Grullon’s intentions. He had realized one day that even though his passion and love for the GT race and street cars of today is such, he would almost certainly never be able to own one. So he set his sites on the next best thing, building his own Supercar. To quote the words of Ferdinand Porsche, “I set out to find a true sports car, but since I didn’t find it I decided to build it.”

Currently the SP4’s first prototype car is available and ready to go, so now because of all the interest this project has generated DDR Motorsport will start work on the SP8, the 8 cylinder version of the DDR chassis that will be built and offered soon. Using the Corvette’s tried and true suspension geometry and Porsche’s G50 transaxle, the soon to come SP8 will definitely be a force to contend in today’s kit car market.
