Most of us who don’t have the skills to draw will never be able to improve on something like stick figures, let alone design a concept model of a car. But for those who have the talent, it becomes a question of how far your imagination can take you.

Like what they say; when you have it, you have it.

20-year old design student Davide Varenna sure has it and his designing skill isn’t any more evident than this study he made of the Alfa Romeo->ke1386 Montreal for the "Stile Italiano Giovani 2010" competition organized by ANFIA.

It’s hard enough to make a rendering of a timeless classic like the Montreal but Varenna doesn’t seem to have had much problem doing so.

By adopting a lot of elements from the original Montreal, including the deep headlights, the contours of the windows and doors and the hood-mounted NACA duct. Apart from these, the Vareena’s design is completely the work of his imagination.

Very impressive, to say the least.
