The up and coming American automakers, Devon Motor Works, are very busy preparing the all new GTX supercar for its debut this August. The fist spy shots of the car shows that Justin Bell’s new project is right on track. After it scheduled unveiling at the 2009 Pebble Beach Concourse d’ Elegance, the car will go on sale early in 2010.

The photo shows off the car’s wide body, filled with a staggered set of polished wheels wrapped in very wide rubber. The Devon resembles the Alfa 8C, with its coke bottle shape, curved roofline and sculpted fenders. The production model’s wide fenders will stand out even more when wearing the final version’s two tone livery. The front end has what looks like Ferrari F430 inspired intakes and the hood wears enough slits to classify the GTX as a super car. What the photo doesn’t show you are the purpose built interior for a machine with one objective, speed. The cockpit of the production version will come complete with retro touches like a cue ball shift knob.

Devon Motorsports is not only trying to make a name for themselves during one of the most difficult economic times for the automobile industry, but also hopes to show the world a 21st century super car. The image also shows he Devon wearing slick tires, could there be track duty in store for the new American muscle car.
