2JZ engine, no sh*t!

Hey! Did you hear? Toyota is bringing back the Supra, officially giving fanboys all over the world a reason to cry tears of joy, as opposed to the tears of frustration we’re so used to (I’m looking at you, turbo BRZ fans). Indeed, it’s been a long time coming for this iconic import sports car - 16 years and counting to be exact, as the final Mk. IV A80 officially bit the dust back in 2002. To get you in the mood, we’re featuring this “Everything You Need To Know” video courtesy of Donut Media, which offers a complete rundown on the Supra and why it’s considered one of the greatest Japanese performance machines of all time.

Over the course of the 7-minute, 40-second vid, we get a full briefing on the history of the nameplate, leading up to the latest rumors for the new model. We also get a look at the legendary 2JZ turbo engine that helped catapult the Supra to superstardom.

Give it a watch and let us know what you think - on a scale from 1 to MOAR BOOST how excited are you for the return of the Supra?
