Mat Watson from ‘Carwow’ is back with yet another drag race involving three supercars that have loyal fan bases of their own. But, no matter how desirable, this race is a tad bit stale. We had the same results with whatever kind of race that happened. Now, it’s not necessary that every race has to tug our heartstrings or give us the adrenaline rush, right? But, then why did we cover it? Well, the cars are eye candies and sound amazing. That’s it!

Here’s What Was At Our Disposal

A seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox drives the rear wheels exclusively.

It is mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. Here, too, only the rear wheels are powered.

All that oomph is channeled to the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.

The STO tips the scales at 3,175 pounds, making it lighter than the 3,274-pound Pista, but a tad bit heavier than the 3,164-pound GT3.

Same Results, Again and Again...

The first drag race started with all cars starting off the line in a different manner. The Lamborghini suffered from terrible wheel spin, the Porsche was a little better than the Lambo, whereas the Pista just shot off the line. As expected, the Ferrari won comfortably. The Porsche was ahead initially, but the Lamborghini managed to edge it before the line to finish second.

They raced again, this time Mat disengaging the launch control on the Huracan. Surprisingly, it did better than the first race. The Ferrari was the quickest off the line yet again, but it wasn’t too far ahead of its Italian counterpart. But, courtesy of all the oomph and extra power, the Ferrari didn’t struggle to keep pushing ahead and not let the Huracan pass it. As for the Porsche, it was lurking behind these two like a teenage kid hovering around the ‘cool’ adults.

It couldn’t get any better than this, but the replays revealed that the Ferrari jumped the start. Wasn’t by a huge margin, but they still raced again. To everyone’s surprise, that made a huge difference. The Huracan rocketed off the line, leaving both its rivals behind. But, the Pista didn’t take too long to get the lead once again and win the race. The results of all three races were the same – Pista coming first, Huracan second, and the GT3 third. The Pista finished the final quarter-mile race in 10.8 seconds, the Huracan in 10.9 seconds, and the GT3 in 11.5 seconds.

They moved on to rolling races. The first one was from 50 mph with the cars in their least sporty settings and gearbox in automatic mode. The Pista and the 911 GT3 had good kickdowns, whereas the Lambo was not as good. The Pista just kept going away, but the Huracan managed to pip the Porsche to finish second at the half-mile mark. They gave it another shot, this time also from 50 mph, but the gearbox in manual mode and cars in the sportiest setting. Despite this, it went down the same way as the first roll race. The only difference was the Porsche wasn’t able to get a better kickdown than the Lamborghini this time around.

The last round was the brake test from 100 mph. They all stopped in pretty much the same distance. The Porsche managed to stop in a slightly shorter distance to get a consolation win, whereas the Ferrari somehow kept its nose behind the Lamborghini to take the second place. The Lamborghini was third in this round.
