Drake Bell, star of Nickelodeon's number one TV series "Drake & Josh," was rushed to Santa Monica Hospital last night after a terrible car crash on the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH).

Drake was in the car with a friend driving his black 1966 Ford Mustang and stopped in the left-hand turning lane headed onto Sunset Boulevard when he was struck head-on by a Mercedes.

At approximately 3 AM, Drake was transferred to the UCLA Medical Center in Westwood.

Drake's injuries are serious, but not believed to be life-threatening, including a fractured neck, broken jaw, facial lacerations requiring many stitches and several knocked-out teeth. Drake will reportedly be undergoing both dental surgery and plastic surgery in coming days.

Drake has issued a statement through Dan Schneider, the Executive Producer of his Nickelodeon program, that he appreciates all the calls and support but not to worry, 'Drake & Josh' will return. He thanks everyone for all their thoughts and prayers and hopes to be back in production soon.

Drake's co-star Josh Peck arrived at the hospital by 1 AM. 'Drake & Josh' was in the middle of shooting its fourth season with three shows already in the can.
