Legendary Italian shoemaker Stefano Bemer has launched a new line of custom-made, handcrafted driving shoes that ensure that our feet are wrapped in the most exotic of materials and still have the versatility and comfort to spend a day on a race track. The shoes, called the Gentlemen’s Driving Shoes, can also be designed to incorporate details of an owner’s own car into the custom footwear. Prices start at $600 for a pair, though in the age of customization, prices may vary depending on the financial mileage a customer can provide.

Stefano Bemer is one of the most distinguished cobblers in the world, so it’s no surprise that this new custom collection made its debut in the playground of the rich and famous, Monterey Car Week.

You can look classy in them and not have to worry about changing out of them when you step into a performance car. “These shoes are not only fantastic for improving pedal feel but stylish too,” Stefano Bemer CEO Tommaso Melani said.

“The design features a rubber over-heel with a leather sole. This keeps the foot arch supported in a way that greatly improves foot sensitivity on the pedals. We wanted to make a true gentlemen’s driving shoe that tastefully adds the modern design aspects required to keep feet nimble during a long day at the track. Very old school, yet modern.”

Very old school, yet modern. That’s the shoe’s selling point. It also helps that it’s from a shoe company that has historically been open to fulfilling what Melani describes as “the most unique requests to make truly one-of-a-kind footwear.” It’s easy to believe that part considering what we know about Stefano Bemer. Naturally, that price can go up depending on how a specific customer feels about his bespoke shoe. Regardless, if you want to look good in and outside of your performance machines, Stefano Bemer has the footwear for you. Just be prepared to spend a fortune on these shoes because they don’t come cheap.
