Dubai Fire Department Shows Off Its New Chevrolet Corvette Stingray
Everything is more grandiose in Dubai, so says people who have been in the Middle Eastern country. Apparently, even the cars of the local law enforcement and emergency agencies fit that bill.
We already know the impressive list of vehicles the Dubai Police Force has at its disposal, but as it turns out, even the country’s fire department has its own special vehicles.
This photo, taken by the folks over at [Drive Arabia], shows a 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray donning the colors of the Dubai Fire Brigade. We don’t really know how the car itself is going to handle actual fires, but it does make for a good publicity stunt for the fire department to show that the police force isn’t the only agency that can have its roster of its exotics.
The Corvette Stingray itself comes with the eye-catching red and yellow livery of the fire brigade. To make it look the part of a real fire department vehicle, lightbars were installed, as well as graphics saying "Dubai Civil Defense" on both doors.
Compared to what we normally see our fire departments drive around these days, it’s safe to say that this Corvette Stingray stands out among all of them for all the right publicity reasons.
