The current Audi TT is about to get a facelift, and although we have yet to see the upgrades the Germans made to the standard coupe, a couple of leaked photos unveil the changes we will see on the sportier TTS model. We have clear shots of both the front and rear fascia, and the revisions are quite significant.

The first thing that catches the eye is the new grille. Whereas the outgoing models has a chrome grille with horizontal slats, the upcoming TTS gained a honeycomb mesh that's usually offered on the hardcore TT-RS model. But while the TT-RS has a black grille, the TTS features chrome highlights too, so you'll know which is which. The bumper vents have also been modified and now include vertical grey surrounds that extend into the splitter. The headlamps also have a revised LED pattern.

Modifications are less extensive around back, but we can see a pair of revised taillights. Audi also added new vents under each taillight, probably inspired by the more powerful R8 supercar. Unfortunately, these openings appear to be fake, so they don't add to the car's aerodynamics and cooling. The diffuser is grey, just like on the outgoing model, but it's a bit wider now and features black detailing at the top. The vertical fins are also finished in black, but more importantly, they're bigger than before. The quad-exhaust setup remains unchanged though.

The interior appears to be the same for the most part, but I can see small changes to the trim and the seats. The instrument cluster also appears to feature new graphics, and we should see a big update to the infotainment system as well.

Under the hood, it should continue with the turbocharged, 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, but power could increase from the current 292 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. Don't expect a significant bump, but the TTS could deliver at least 300 horsepower after the upgrade.
