Facelift Focus to be unveiled in Frankfurt
It seems that Ford does not plan to only revise the Fiesta, Focus will also get a facelift for the next year and the new model will be unveiled in Frankfurt.
The new Focus will get a more dramatic appearance in line with the latest Mondeo and Fiesta. And while this prototype is wearing some disguise, the new nose – with its raised bonnet, revamped headlights, fresh grille and reprofiled bumpers – is clear to see.
Under the hood we will see the new ultra-efficient variant dubbed the ECOnetic and also a 1.6-litre TDCi diesel engine that will emit only 115g/km of CO2 and return fuel economy of nearly 70mpg.
The interior will also be revised: a new C-MAX-style centre console, completed with uprated audio and navigation equipment. Under the skin, the changes are less significant, however. The existing range of petrol and diesel engines is to be carried over, although tweaks to the suspension will enhance the Focus’s driver appeal.
