The guys over at TeamSpeed have created a few renditions of the upcoming drop top Ferrari 458 Italia Spider as well as a full tilt race prepped 458 Italia Challenge. The road car will be powered by a 4.5 Liter V8 engine equipped with the traditional Ferrari flat crankshaft that gives the mid-engine sports cars their signature top end bark. The unit is slated to produce a maximum output of 570 HP at a rather high 9000 RPM, giving the future super car a very efficient 127 HP/Liter.

The Italia will weigh in at just over 3000 pounds making it heavy enough to be stable at very high speeds, while remaining light enough to maintain the kind of handling performance that we have come to expect from a mid engine Ferrari. The new Ferrari will rocket from 0 to 60 MPH in just 3.4 seconds and won’t stop until it hits a top speed of 202 MPH.
