After a first rumor and a render it's time to see the real deal. A Ferrari 599 Roadster has been caught testing in Maranello.

So, why do we think this is the successor of the 575M Superamerica? If you take a close look at the image, you will notice that the top of the A-pillar is taped with a joint for a removable top and the car features a convertible top.

It will most likely carry the V12 engine delivering a total of 670 HP at 8250 rpm with a maximum torque of 620 Nm at 6500 rpm found in the 2011 Ferrari 599 GTO except it will develop an extra 25hp to counteract the added weight of the convertible top.

Like the 575 Superamerica launched in 2005, the new 599 cabrio will be offered in limited numbers. Official debut will be made in August at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance->ke2839 in California.
