Ferrari->ke252 isn’t accustomed to making a lot of special edition one-off vehicles so you know that when they come out with one, it’s bound to b extremely mouth-watering.

The latest one-off to come out of Maranello was debuted this past weekend at the Cavallino Classic in Palm Beach, Florida. Called the Ferrari P540 Superfast Aperta, the car was actually commissioned by Edward Walson – his father, by the way, John Walson, was the inventor of Cable TV – with the help of both Pininfarina and Ferrari’s Special Projects division, which as the name suggests, is responsible for all the one-off supercars that come out of Maranello.

The P540 Superfast Aperta comes with a gold paint job with a few touches of black and carbon fiber. The car’s technical specifications are a little similar to the Ferrari 599->ke252 but you’ll also notice that the car’s design is unlike any other Ferrari out on the market today. Drawing inspiration from a number of vehicles – including the 250 GTO and the Shelby Series 1->ke1350 – the P540 Superfast Aperta is as rare as a one-off supercar can get.
