There's just something about the design of a shooting brake that really gets a man’s attention. In the case of the Ferrari GTC4Lusso, which replaced the Ferrari FF, it’s probably the AWD and V-12 engine hidden behind the metal. When the GTC4Lusso debuted last month, we found out it came with an improvement in engine output, with 30 extra horses on tap for a total of 681 horsepower, and it boasts that new four-wheel steering system. With pricing expected in the $300,000 range, it might be out of your budget. But that doesn’t mean you can’t use Ferrari’s online configurator to build your dream car.

That’s right – the GTC4Lusso can now get customized through Ferrari’s->ke252 online configurator. As you might expect, there are a lot of options to go over, including a total of 26 exterior colors, five different wheels, nine colors for the brake calipers, 15 interior color options, as well as lots of extra goodies to pick from. Needless to say, the configurator will draw you in, and before you know it, you’ve spent an hour customizing your dream car.

Once you’ve finished customizing your vehicle, a landing page displays everything you’ve selected throughout configuration. You can choose to request information directly from Ferrari, or print out a PDF form with all the details that you can save or take to a local dealership. Either way, if you dream of having a GTC4Lusso, check out the online configurator for yourself. And, while you’re at it, take a screen shot of your completed shooting brake and post it in the comments below.

Why it Matters

To be honest, I’m surprised there were so many different options to choose from. I mean, with 26 exterior colors and 15 interior colors, one could really spend a lot of time going back and forth between the options. I spent at least 20 minutes and didn’t even finish. In the end, I ended up with a Canna Di Fucile finish on the exterior, complemented by a set of 20-inch, forged Diamond rims with carbon-fiber hubcaps. I chose to go with a gold finish on the calipers. On the inside, I went with Rosso-Ferrari Red upholstery with charcoal-colored stitching.
