In an interview with Auto Motor Und Sport, Ferrari’s General Director, Amedeo Felisa confirmed that the company will indeed produce a hybrid model. He also denied the existence of any SUV in the future plans.

Amedeo Felisa said: "A hybrid solution will come. But we see the hybrid models under dynamic criteria. And from now on, each new model must be more economical than its predecessor."

Also in order to reduce CO2 emission with 40% by 2012, Ferrari is considering a loaded eight-cylinder engine. But no diesel engines: "Diesel models achieve extraordinary road performances. But their power-to-weight is bad. We will reach our consumption goals without Diesels."
