Remember the rumors about a possible Ferrari 4/5 Competizione? Back then, it was stated that the stars would have to align just right for this to happen. Guess what? Astrologists everywhere are checking and rechecking those stars and they see the beautiful alignment. The Ferrari 4/5 Competizione rumors are no longer rumors. Jim Glickenhaus had a dream and, apparently, he did everything in his power to make it come true.

He picked up a Ferrari 430 Scuderia and started to work on a wonderful transformation. Unfortunately, we will not see the final production until the 2011 24-Hour Nürburgring Race. However, fortunately, we also be able to view her as a street legal car after the Nurburgring race!

The real Ferrari P4/5 is powered by a V12 engine that delivers a total of 660 HP and can hit a top speed of more than 220mph. Let’s just hope the Competizione version will deliver at least the same performance numbers.

Hit the jump to read the words straight out of the horse’s (Jim Glickenhaus’) mouth.

This will unfold slowly over the next year but today we made a deal that begins the voyage.

I’m grateful to my friends at WWOC who sold us a new F430 Scuderia at a reasonable price that we will use as our platform.

Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus will be turning her into a full chat race car that will contest the 2011 24 Hours of Nurburgring.

After that adventure we’ll reconvert her into a fully street legal car like her sister P 4/5.

As Neil said:

Long May She Run.

As an aside should anyone need a lot of F 430 Scuderia Parts we’ll have some available...

I love the rear portion... Looks menacing and scary.. Plus the Diffuser looks amazing...

This car is awesome, hopefully that this car winds up with performance to suit its looks. If it’s an appreciable amount slower than the FXX, I guess that is really a supremely frustrating.

Well for sure it will deliver the same power as the competition level... Well, of course, ferrari wont settle less or second placer. Ferrari is meant to be 1st and champion.
