Even if Ferrari didn't offer us an official launch date for the future Purosangue, we do know that it will be revealed later in 2022. In fact, we already know what the luxury SUV will look like as the company officially dropped a pretty revealing teaser image, but we also have some leaked images that offer us a very good look at Ferrari's first SUV.

Ferrari engineers are busy doing the final testing and adjustments on the Purosangue before its much-anticipated launch. A new prototype has been caught testing, and, unlike the previous ones, this one is wearing a different camouflage.

As you can see, the new Purosangue prototype dropped the previously very bulky camouflage and is now wrapped in some very light foil and reveals more details, including the fact that Ferrari still has some touches left to do here and there.

What we know so far about the Purosangue is that it will be built on the same platform as the Roma GT. In fact, it will get some design inspiration from the Roma GT too. Previous images revealed they will share the same bonnet lines, grille shape, and flared haunches. But, for the SUV, the front fascia will also draw inspiration from the SF90 Stradale, while the rear reminds us of the GTC4 Lusso. One thing we can tell for sure is that the new Purosangue will be a combination of previous Ferrari designs and will bring nothing new in that regard. In fact, it will not even be a proper SUV. Images revealed it will more likely feature a four-door, four-seat layout with a hatchback tailgate, and will pretty much be a replacement for the GTC4 Lusso.

Still, Ferrari wants its Purosangue to attack cars such as the Aston Martin DBX, the Lamborghini Urus, and the Bentley Bentayga, which means it at least needs a powerful engine under the hood. Rumors suggest it will initially be offered with a V-12 engine under the hood, but V-6 and V-8 plug-in hybrids and even fully electric versions are also a possibility. No matter what, if it wants to be competitive, the Purosangue needs at least 650 horsepower under the hood.

Expect to hear more about it in the next few months!
