If any of you have gotten the chance to play Final Fantasy XV, you’ve probably driven some miles on the Regalia, the massive, Cadillac Ciel-looking, four-door convertible that Noctis and his friends drive around the massive world of Eos. It’s an incredibly expansive game and the Regalia is likewise impossible to miss. I’m bringing this up because those who haven’t played Final Fantasy XV will now be able to drive the Regalia… in Forza Horizon 3.

Believe it or not, but it’s true. The Regalia has found itself in a completely different video game franchise, the product of a presumed collaboration between Turn 10 Studios and Final Fantasy XV developer Square Enix. The full scope of details behind this collab have yet to be announced – maybe we see a rally racing sub-game added to Final Fantasy XV? – but it is important to know that this isn’t the first time that Turn 10 Studios has brought a fantasy vehicle from another game entirely into the world of Forza Horizon 3. Just last year, the studio ported over the M12 Warthog LRV from the Final Fantasy XV video game franchise to Forza Horizon 3. Now it’s the Regalia from Final Fantasy XV and this growing trend is raising questions on what the next fantasy car will make its way into the world of Forza. For what it’s worth, I hope it’s Elena’s Jeep from the Halo video game franchise. For now though, I’m more than happy taking the Regalia out for a spin. At least now I can find out how it stacks up against its real-world equivalent: the Rolls-Royce Phantom.
