A good indicator of how bad the economy really is will be when Barrett-Jackson holds its Scottsdale, AZ auction in January. We'll talk about plenty of high-dollar classics that cross the stage when the auction takes place, but one car that can't be driven home will be the first production 2010 Chevrolet Camaro auctioned there.

Production doesn't begin until another month after the auction, but General Motors is taking the opportunity to roll out a show car and raise some money for charity. It also hasn't been confirmed if this will be a V6 LS or LT package car or a 422 hp SS package Camaro (c'mon any good PR person knows it has to be the SS.) Whatever car gets sold in January, it won't be on the street until at least February, but the proceeds immediately go to the American Heart Association.
