First Three Bugatti Legends Models are Sold Out
When Bugatti announced that it was building a set of special-edition models, it was only a matter of time before demand for those limited-edition exotics would find their respective owners.
Well, Bugatti has launched three of its “Les Légendes de Bugatti” editions and all nine models of these three models have been sold out. The three models that have been released so far paid homage to three Bugatti pioneers, including Jean-Pierre Wimille, Jean Bugatti, and Meo Constantini. Each of these models carried unique design traits about themselves that were tied up to the Bugatti legends that adorned their name so it wasn’t surprising that demand for these Legends editions were high.
"The Legends edition is a great success for Bugatti," Bugatti president Dr. Wolfgang Schreiber said. "The response from our customers is amazing. These are automotive works of art, which each tell a part of Bugatti’s history.”
But while Bugatti is reveling at the success of its Legends series, customers who missed out on the first three models shouldn’t despair. Three more models are expected to be unveiled to close out the series with the fourth one expected to make its debut at the Geneva Motor Show next week. Like its predecessors, the fourth model, is reportedly going to be named the Veyron Grand Vitesse "Elisabeth Janek, one of the first and most successful women to race in a Bugatti.
It’ll be interesting what kind of treatment the Veyron Grand Vitesse "Elisabeth Janek" is going to receive. Judging by the first three models of the Legends Series, we won’t be shocked if it follows in the same vein with a unique styling that’s all its own.

The Veyron Jean-Pierre Wimille Edition was the first of the company’s Legends Series to be released. As its name suggested, it paid tribute to Jean-Pierre Wimille — a racecar driver that brought two Le Mans victories to Bugatti.
This special edition was inspired by the Bugatti 57G Tank that won the Le Mans in 1937. It comes with a two-tone paint job that features blue clear-coated carbon fiber and a light Wimille Bleu.
The Bugatti Veyron Jean Bugatti edition was inspired by the Type 57SC Atlantic — the best model ever designed by Jean Bugatti, the eldest son of Bugatti founder Ettore Bugatti. The Jean Bugatti Veyron special edition was developed entirely from jet black, clear-coated carbon fiber with platinum insertions on the staple Bugatti horseshoe on the front grille and the EB logo on the rear.
Inside, Bugatti offered the same beige and brown tones used in the original Type 57SC Atlantic: the seats, instrument panel, steering wheel, dash panel, center console, door trim panels and windscreen cross member are chocolate brown, while Bugatti added contrasting beige on the center console, foot well, outer door trim panels and handle recesses.
The Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse Meo Constantini distinguishes itself via a number of styling references attributed to the Type 35, the same race car Constantini drove to win the Targa Florio. The "Bugatti Dark Blue Sport" racing colors pay homage to France’s racing heritage while a number of components on the body have been rendered in aluminum, including the wings, doors, and the "medallions."
The underside of the rear wing, you’re going to see a silhouette of the historic Targa Florio race course where Constantini scored two victories while his signature was laser-engraved into the aluminum tank and oil caps, all while painted in silver.
Inside, "Gaucho" leather was used to upholster the cabin and complemented pretty nicely by a "Lake Blue" trim on the seat’s side cushions, arm rests, extended center console, door panels, dash panel, instrument panel and steering wheel. Constantini’s signature is also present in the cabin, this time embroidered on the head restraints using a "Bugatti Light Blue Sport" color.
