Ford recently announced its custom Ranger lineup for the 2019 SEMA. The trucks were really impressive in terms of products, but in the bigger picture, it showed that Ford is ready to get out of its comfort zone. This will play a big role for Ford moving forward because the American automaker is not known to be a mod-friendly brand as, say, Jeep or Land Rover. To further strengthen this, Ford has now revealed that it will be bringing to SEMA a series of Super Duty truck concepts as well. I was impressed a lot with the Ranger lineup, so let’s see how the Super Duty range turns out.

Ford Accessories F-250 Tremor

This is not something new. Ford already has a Tremor package available for the F-250 and F-350. Of all the builds that will be listed here, this one wears the subtlest look, aesthetically speaking. But don’t judge the book by its cover. The Super Duty with this Tremor package is the ultimate beast. All the accessories fitted in here come from Ford’s factory itself. The automaker has also installed a 50-inch LED light bar, a Ford Performance Parts chase rack, and fancy decals over the bed and rear doors. The truck is lifted by two inches and rides on 35-inch Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac tires. Other than this, Ford has installed a Dana limited-slip front differential and a rear locker as well. With these accessories and its natural off-roading prowess, the Ford F-250 Tremor is a beast on wheels.

LGE-CTS Motorsports Baja Forged F-250 Crew Cab XLT

There is nothing that can go wrong with this truck. It looks vintage, it has the ‘Baja’ identity, and it has the old-school persona attached. The truck has been designed by LGE-CTS Motorsports, a California-based aftermarket company. The company laid its hands on the F-250 Crew Cab XLT, and here's the result. A Warn 10S winch made its way onto the front bumper. An Element fridge along with a floor console safe top up the feature list. It is a raised truck, but it is actually raised by 4.5 inches using a Stage 7 suspension lift. It also rides on massive 37-inch BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A tires. No wonder Ford calls this the “Swiss army knife for the modern adventurer.”

DeBerti Design F-450 Crew Cab Platinum

If you’re familiar with DeBerti Design, you will know that SEMA is the company’s backyard. In fact, the second-gen DeBerti even won the 2016 SEMA Young Gun award. The company specializes in customized trucks, and this year, it has chosen the Ford F-450 Crew Cab Platinum as its bunny. It is defined as an “ultimate in workplace trucks.” The truck looks like something that can be used in the ‘Death Race’ movie. DeBerti has given the truck a matte paint job.

It rides on 22-inch American Force wheels wrapped in 37-inch Toyo tires. This Ford F-450 also benefits from a Kelderman air ride suspension that helps accommodate the huge tires. To top off the intimidating looks, it features Rigid LED lights that are mounted at the top of the cab. The truck also happens to be a storage expert of sorts. It features a pull-out bumper drawer, which is the aftermarket company’s own creation. You can also make use of the dual pull-out fender and built-in safe. Could it get any better?

BDS Suspension F-350 Crew Cab XLT

The name should be a giveaway as to what the truck’s main USP is. BDS Suspension has transformed the Super Duty into something unthinkable. The whole project is called ‘Go Beyond’, and with it, the company aims to create the “ultimate off-road adventure” by transforming the Ford Super Duty Series. Let’s dive into the details right away. The truck rides on 20-inch Method Race 605 NV-series wheels wrapped in massive 40-inch Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ P3 tires.

A Warn Zeon 12S winch and Rigid LED lights further accentuate the looks and utility. The truck bed is fitted with a Knapheide aluminum service box with a hard-shell tent and awning, refrigerator, and a two-burner gas grill. On the inside, the truck sports Katzkin black and mahogany seats and a Kicker VSS audio system. Other than this, a Ridetech air compressor kit, power inverter, collapsible aluminum table, and camp chairs round off the ‘adventurous’ features of the truck.

CGS Performance Products F-250 Tremor w/ Black Appearance Package

The laziest job of the lot is this CGS Performance Products mod. The company has taken the F-250 Tremor with the Black Appearance package and dialed it up with a few aesthetic additions. It rides on 20-inch Grid wheels wrapped in 37-inch General tires. Other than all this, there’s a BedRug Sportliner carpet kit and a Retrax PowerTraxPro MX bed cover. All the mechanical changes are the same as the one with the Tremor package.

Final Thoughts

With the Ranger and Super Duty lineup, Ford is coming to the 2019 SEMA Show with a point to prove. It’s clear that Ford was looking forward to the SEMA show rather than the Tokyo Motor Show this year. And, why must it not? The accessories market is booming at an astounding rate and Ford wouldn’t want to lag behind here. The profits are fat and people buy accessories even after many years of ownership. The concepts also gave Ford an opportunity to collaborate with a lot of aftermarket companies and realize the true potential of its own products. The Blue Oval will be bringing these five concepts, along with the Rangers, at the 2019 SEMA Show starting from November 5. Which of these is your favorite?
