The Kuga SUV is already a very successful model in Ford’s line-up. A coupe version will surely be something that would turn heads. The company already announced plans to enlarge the five-door version and inspired by BMW’s X6 success the blue oval has also decided to come with a sporty version of the Kuga.

Of course inspired by its little brother, the coupe version will also take its inspiration from the smaller three-door Fiesta especially the C-pillar, while the front-end is inspired by the Iosis MAX concept.

The Kuga Coupe will also be offered in a two-wheel drive version, alongside the 4x4. Under the hood, Ford will put the same range of EcoBoost direct-injection turbocharged petrol engines as the upcoming third-generation Focus: a new 1.6 Liter turbo, available with 148 HP and 178 HP outputs. Diesel options for the Kuga Coupé are going to include a new 128 HP 1.6 TDCi and a flagship 2.0-litre, available with 168 HP or 197 HP options.

The Ford Kuga Coupe will be launched in 2011.

I think the Kuga looks good. But i am not a bit fan of those rendering. Anyway, I ll be more happy with an X6. If you are going to examine this model, you migh say, it looks a lot like the VW Tiguan... with different lower-front spoiler

A cheap SUV Coupe would be the perfect douche-mobile for the financially impaired douche bag! You know, the one that can’t afford the X6, X3 or even the entry level X1 because his toothpick factory went bankrupt when he decided swarovski covered toothpicks are the way to go! He realized he was wrong so now he’s got another loan from the bank to start selling swarovski covered glass lenses and he’s got just enough extra money to buy a cheapo cross-over so he can go to that fancy cafe with the 10 euro coffee without his richer, more douchebaggy friends making fun of him...

Well, personally I dislike SUV/ Crossover. they are so compromised in so many ways I don’t understand why people would buy them. however, I do respect people’s free choice to own one, and which one they can afford isn’t something to make fun of. they may well like it for the high ground clearance and good visibility, or the space or whatever else. and whilst I probably would never own one, I don’t really think you have a right to critisize people who would. and making fun of people who buy a Ford and assuming it’s because they couldn’t afford something else is quite childish.

To be honest, I like the Kuga a lot and Im no fan of cute SUV. I remember the Isuzu Vehicross and I have often wondered who would venture back into the two door SUV business. I think the Kuga would look good in a two door variant.

But on the other hand, as a budget priced vehicle, the Ford Kuga Coupe could be a good entry-level choice for those looking to purchase an SAV. I would just be happy with a plain old Kuga. It’s so much better looking that the American Escape/Mariner. I’m not a huge fan of crossovers but even I would have to go look at a Kuga once it go on sale.

I must add, the artist added large alloy wheels, raising the vehicle off the ground in similar fashion to the Iosis X. By basing the renderings off the Iosis series of concepts, Auto Express has digitally built a car that is easily distinguished from the Kuga SUV

Well, the source is showing off interesting-looking renderings of the sport activity vehicle with a "sloping roofline" and a look inspired by the Ford Fiesta. Styling lines are meant to remind us of the Ford Iosis X concept seen during the 2006 Paris Motor Show. Looking at old renderings of the Iosis X makes it seem like the Auto Express artist lifted the entire front end from that vehicle

To my opinion, it looks more like a higher hatchback, it has no bonnet at all and the stilling is worse than the allready ugly focus. MAny people say that the fords in europe are better than the ones in america. The new fords from america, like the new taurus and mustang have propper quality too and the taurus looks way better than the mondeo

Well, the difference in looks with the kuga and the bmw x1 are like a dacia logan and a lamborghini reventon. This can be the first of the poor man’s X6 models. lots of people like the X6 and can’t afford it, i think there is a market for this kind of cars ...or CUVs, SUVs, WUVS.

Well, I have to say it. From out of nowhere comes this reporting claiming that Ford is readying a Ford Kuga coupe. The magazine suggests -without a source- that Ford could be planning both two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive versions of a three-door Kuga, to be introduced sometime in 2011. Speculation has a six-speed manual or Powershift twin-clutch automatic transmission offered for the car. Other features would include a new sat-nav unit, rearward facing camera, Bluetooth, panoramic glass roof (not seen in the renderings), and start-stop technology.
