Ford Kuga to be offered only with one diesel engine
Ford’s medium cars’ brand manager Damian Oton has announced in an interview with Business Car that the new Kuga 4x4 crossover will be offered with only one diesel engine mated with a six-speed manual transmission starting May 2008.
"We know the Kuga will be a strong user-chooser product and we have made a conscious, strategic decision to have one body style, one engine (the 136PS, 2.0-litre TDCi) and the single six-speed manual transmission."
Kuga will be available only in two trim levels: Zetec and Titanium, and this is a very strange decision if we were to consider that it’s competitors will be available in many different choices. It will also be built only in 6000 to 8000 units a year.
