Up for auction is this original Eleanor Mustang; one of only three used in the 2000 remake of Gone in 60 Seconds starring Nicholas Cage and Angelina Jolie. The 1967 Mustang is number seven out of 11 ever built by Cinema Vehicle Services of North Hollywood. Though Mecum Auctions doesn’t list a reserve price, we’d imagine the car will command a pretty penny.

The Mustang->ke428 is equipped with a 351-cubic-inch V-8 backed by a four-speed manual transmission. A Holley 700 CFM four-barrel carburetor and high-volume fuel pump feed the beast while a Fluidyne Racing aluminum radiator keeps things cool. Air conditioning, four-wheel disc brakes and Auto Meter gauges keep the occupants comfortable, safe, and informed.

The car’s aftermarket alterations were originally penned by Steve Stanford, including that unique front grille design, lower front valance, and twin driving lights. The car also sports twin racing stripes, upper and lower side scoops, and a quick-fill gas cap. After filming ended, CVS added the side pipes for some extra growl and beautiful 17-inch mag wheels with imitation knock-off center caps.

The car includes the same touches it had in the film, including the “Go Baby Go” shifter knob. A letter of authenticity from CVS is included, proving the car was used in filming and actors were routinely inside the car.

She seems like a worthwhile bid for Mustang or Gone in 60 Seconds fans. The auction is taking place in Austin, Texas between December 12th and 13th.

Movie paraphernalia usually goes for big bucks, considering the movie was successful. This being a working car that was the star of the show, it should have no problems fetching top dollar at auction. We just hope Eleanor gets a good home and is not the victim of an automotive heist led by men in wife-beaters as she was in the movie.
