Remember the Ford Start Concept unveiled earlier this year at the Beijing International Auto Show? Well, Ford has announced that this concept previewed a new baby model that will compete with models like the Fiat 500. The new model will go on sale in 2014 and will be priced at £8,000 ($12,500 at the current exchange rates).

The future baby model will be powered by a new 1.0-liter three-cylinder EcoBoost engine with direct injection and stop-start technology. This new engine will deliver between 80 HP and 125 HP, and a fuel economy of 60 mph and CO2 emission of less than 100g/km. This new engine will also be used for models like the Fiesta, Focus, and C-MAX ranges.

In order to be able to target the Fiat 500, this little number will have to come with plenty of customizable options. Ford has done their part by providing the small car with a new MyFord system, air-conditioning and sat-nav system, and more personalization options than ever before. The options will include everything from vinyl wraps to color-coded interior lighting which should allow it to give the Fiat a run for its money.

I never thought that Ford will create this design and a smaller version of their cars. By simply looking at the exterior of the car, you will notice that it is an economy car and a fuel efficient one.

I wonder if they are using a hybrid system in this car or pure electric? I don’t think that it has an awesome performance, still I want to see a regular size!

I never used to see the Ford making a smaller version on their car. And this car doesn’t look good compare to their traditional model. I haven’t seen any aggressiveness and sportiness on this car!

it probably is a must that you have an automatic tyranny in the US, but manual transmissions are more durable, also when you learn how to drive stick you wont even notice that you are, it becomes like second nature. Saving Endangered species is Fred Sm like passion in life, if it is your passion
