The unveiling of the next-generation Ford Focus is upon us. We’ve already seen the model numerous times through spy shots of test mules and photo shoots. Now, it’s Ford that’s doing the teasing courtesy of a new video that reveals a good number of details about the fourth-generation model. The all-new Ford Focus will make its highly anticipated debut next Wednesday, April 10. Circle those calendars, folks. The new Focus is arriving.

By now, you’ve probably gotten your fill of spy photos of the next-generation Ford Focus. We’ve already seen a handful of times, beginning with the hatchback dressed up in a funky camo that’s inspired by an artwork done by an artist that escapes us at the moment. From there, we also saw the new Focus, sans camo, in the middle of a photo shoot, revealing a great deal of its side profile, which falls in line with other test cars we’ve seen in the past.

Look closer, and you’ll also get a clear look at one of the headlights. Incidentally, it’s those same headlights that’s one of the main subjects of the teaser video. We get to see the horizontal LED bar lighting up in the video, to go with shots of the sloping hood, the rear nameplate, and an alloy wheel that happens to be a staple of the Focus ST. It is entirely possible that we’re going to see both the base Focus and the ST variant make their debuts on the same stage.

From what we know at this point, Ford will offer the fourth-generation Focus in Europe in hatchback and wagon forms. A crossover-like Active variant is also in the works, though that’s not expected to arrive until after the hatchback and wagon versions are already on the market. Meanwhile, the U.S.-spec Focus probably won't include a wagon version as word has it that hatchback and sedan versions will be offered instead. As far as a performance-spec Ford Focus RS goes? We’ll just have to wait and see what happens on that front.

Regardless, the next-gen Ford Focus looks like a big step up in design compared to its predecessor. It’s certainly a good departure from what we’ve gotten used to in the past, though a clearer look at it will go a long way in helping us gauge its overall looks. The good news is we won’t have to wait too long to find out as the next-generation Ford Focus debuts in less than a week’s time.
