If you got a new Xbox One->ke4786 for the holidays, or you picked up a copy of Forza Horizon 2, Microsoft has a present for you. A new DLC pack of cars titled the G-Shock Car Pack is now available, and it might be one of my favorite packs yet. The pack comes with six cars for $5, and like all good Forza updates it has a nice selection of cars for various types of racing. There are two bargain performance cars from the modern era with the Mazdaspeed 3->ke504 and Nissan’s IDx Nismo concept, and there are a pair of off-road warriors with the SVT Raptor Shelby and the 1975 Ford Bronco. The last two cars are special in their own way, and they are both considered cult classics: the Subaru Brat GL and the 1953 Ferrari 500 Mondial.->ke3528

What makes this pack so great for me is the sheer collection of wildly different cars. The Mondial is one of the few four-cylinder Ferraris ever made and the Nissan IDx Nismo is one of the most interesting concept cars to show up in years. I also love the wild insanity that is driving the Subaru Brat and the Ford Bronco across the European countryside in Forza Horizon 2.

Like all previous car packs, this is only available for the Xbox One version. It is available right now.

Cars

2015 Nissan IDx NISMO

The IDx is a modern interpretation of Nissan’s iconic 510. It is still little more than a concept, but rumor has it that Nissan is planning to make a production version this car as an affordable rear-wheel-drive coupe to take on the likes of the new Miata and the BRZ/FR-S twins.

1980 Subaru BRAT GL

In the world of wacky cars the Subaru Brat is a legend. With its ute styling, coupled to its rear-facing jump seats mounted in the bed, there is nothing on the road quite like a Brat. Of course it has all-wheel drive and a flat-four motor.

2013 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor Shelby

The Ford Raptor is already an insane machine, but Shelby is taking 500 of these monsters and turning them into borderline supercars. Horsepower from the 6.2-liter V-8 has been cranked up to 575 horsepower. The outside is covered in lots of fancy new decals and functional extras like a brush guard.

1975 Ford Bronco

Built by the Blue Oval to combat the rise of machines from Jeep and International, the Bronco was a radical new machine for Ford and it was supremely capable off-road. With a rugged chassis built from parts borrowed from the 4x4 F-Series, the Bronco was a trail-devouring creation.

1953 Ferrari 500 Mondial

After World War II, the world economy was in tatters and racers of the world were looking for lighter and more affordable cars to race. Ferrari obliged with a racer powered by a torquey four-cylinder engine. The car is an open-cockpit racer with that classic design seen in other period racers like the D-Type.

2010 Mada Mazdaspeed 3

Mazda’s newest entry into the hot-hatch market is the Mazdaspeed3. With a 2.3-liter, four-cylinder engine that is wound out to produce 263 horsepower via a turbocharger, the Mazdaspeed3 is one of the most powerful hatches you can get in the states.
