Britain’s secret weapon will bring his toys to the world of FH4

Forza Horizon 4 is weeks away from launching, and we already have our first car pack for the game. Getting bestowed with that distinction is no less than James Bond himself. If you purchase the Ultimate Edition of Forza Horizon 4 you will get the chance to download the “Best of Bond Car Pack” on September 28 as part of early access to the game. If you don’t go for the Ultimate Edition, you’ll get your chance to download the car pack on October 2, the day the game is launched.

The first car pack available for Forza Horizon 4 is a doozy. Not only does it include ten different car models, but it’s also a list of 10 models that all featured in some form in a handful of James Bond movies. Headlining the car pack is a model that’s synonymous to the 007 films: the 1964 Aston Martin DB5 that appeared in a record five James Bond movies, specifically Goldfinger (1964), Thunderbolt (1965), GoldenEye (1995), Skyfall (2012), and Spectre (2015).

Joining the DB5 are four more Aston Martin models, including the 1969 DBS from On Her Majesty’s Secret Service (1969), the 1986 Aston Martin V8 from The Living Daylights, the 2008 Aston Martin DBS from Quantim Solace, and most recently, the 2015 Aston Martin DB10 from Spectre. In addition to Aston Martins, the James Bond Car Pack also includes the 1974 AMC Hornet X Hatchback from The Man with the Golden Gun (1974), the 1977 Lotus Esprit S1 The Spy Who Loved Me (1977), the 1981 Citroen 2CV6 from From Your Eyes Only (1981), the 1999 BMW Z8 from The World is Not Enough (1999), and the 2010 Jaguar C-X75 from Spectre (2015).

The cars are the stars of the pack, but there’s more to them than the fact that they all appeared in a Bond movie.

According to the game’s developers, some of the cars in the pack come with built-in gadgets that were derived from the movie.

The famous Lotus Esprit S1, for example, comes with a body kit inspired by the “Wet Nellie” feature in The Spy Who Loved Me. Likewise, the iconic DB5 will storm the game packed with all sorts of features, including the revolving license plate and the extendable bumper ramps. Gamers who wish to see these features will get a chance to check them out the game’s Forzavista mode.

And if those aren’t enough, the James Bond Car Pack will also include a pair of 007’s outfits and a number of other in-game items. Check out the teaser of the car pack, and when you’re done, you’ll probably share our sentiments. October 2, or September 28, in the case of those who got the Ultimate Edition, can’t come soon enough.
