We recently mentioned a fan-made Forza Horizon 5 trailer, incorporating skillfully merged footage from other Forza games, a Penzoil ad, and a Mercedes AMG Project One promo video. Although that wasn’t the real deal, it was almost like a foreshadowing of the next Forza Horizon game. A week later and Forza Horizon 5 is finally confirmed. Moreover, we get an epic trailer, showing the various vehicle types, as well as the location in which the racing game will take place.
Anyone who’s familiar with Forza games knows what level of detail we are talking about. In Forza Horizon 5 you have more of the same, as the trailer below showcases. We start with tranquilizing footage of the beautiful and highly detailed open world, showcasing a variety of very different environments.
The tone quickly changes, as we transition to a red Mercedes AMG Project One, standing still on an open road. A sudden rise of the active rear wing is followed by a lightning-quick start and two black stripes on the asphalt.
The open road takes us into a bustling urban area where a Trophy truck is chasing a modified Ford Bronco. The trailer showcases quite a few of the cars we expect to see in the game.
We see a lot of off-road and mountainous terrain, which could mean a bit more emphasis on off-road racing. That said, street racing is still very much a thing in Forza Horizon, as we have a wide variety of hypercars too. We see a second Ford Bronco, which looks stock. This should hint at the immense customization options the game will provide.
The dynamic weather is back as we see tropical rains, as well as sandstorms. We also see a mountain that resembles Popocatepeti or Tacana Volcano. We also get Baja trucks and buggies, and towards the end we see three highly modified off-roaders climb a steep hill, overlooking a lava field.
One thing is certain, - the game looks as epic as ever. Given that every Forza game aims to outdo its previous interpretation, Forza Horizon 5 should provide us with endless hours of fun, and we're going to Mexico, after all.
