Turn 10 Studios is giving Forza 6 gamers an early Christmas present with the release of the latest add-on pack for the car racing video game.->ke2888 The game’s developers have made exciting promises since the game was released in September 2015.

Downloadable content has always been one of the game’s best features and this month, gamers can get their hands on the first DLC pack for Forza 6.->ke3733 It’s called the Logitech G Car Pack and it comes with seven new cars that gamers can add to their garages.

The list of cars is pretty impressive, covering a wide gamut of historical race cars, modern track toys, and a limousine that you don’t see everyday. There’s a 2013 Caparo T1, which is probably more at home in the “anything goes” world of Forza 6 than in real race tracks. There’s also a 1939 Mercedes-Benz W154, a 1967 Honda RA300, a 1967 Volvo 123GT, a Nissan IMSA race car, a modern-day Le Mans prototype, and a 2013 Cadillac XTS Limousine. I’m not quite sure how the Caddy->ke18 fits in with the other cars, or the game itself for that matter, but I’m not going to judge anybody for at least having some fun with it.

Coinciding with the release of the Logitech G Car Pack is a special contest that game developers cooked up with partner Logitech. The premise of the contest is pretty simple. All gamers need to do is create a video in Forza 6 of them racing with any car from the Logitech G Car Pack and post it on YouTube. After that, inform the developers of the video by linking it on Twitter and using the hashtag #LogitechGForza6. The contest does come with certain rules and regulations so it might be best to read up on them before joining.

Whoever scores the most views on their video by November 6, 2015 will win first place in the contest, with the second-most viewed video taking second place. All in all, ten users will be awarded with cool prizes from Logitech.

Why it matters

I admit to only getting my introduction to Forza Motorsport 6 about a week ago so please excuse me for being a novice about the game at this point. From what I can tell though, the sixth iteration of the XBox’s flagship car racing game is a dramatic leap forward from Forza 5 in a variety of ways. There are more cars. The graphics are clearer. The sound is sharp and crisp. And for what it’s worth, it’s not as daunting as some people thought it would be.

The arrival of the Logitech G Car Pack comes at a very opportune time for me since I haven’t fully immersed myself in the game yet. It gives me a chance to play around with all these cars and see what they’re made of in the virtual world. I’m particularly excited to drive the Caparo T1 because of its reputation of being a handful to drive in the real world. Maybe there’s some truth to it, but I don’t fancy myself ever getting inside the cockpit of one so the virtual world of Forza 6 is my only alternative. Let’s just hope “virtual me” doesn’t get burned because of it.

As far as the competition goes, I’m entering it! The mechanics are pretty simple and if you play your cards right, you can get those page views up in no time. I’m not going to divulge my plan to do it, but let’s just say that I’m motivated to score that first place award and scoop up the prizes that come with it, including a G920 Driving Force racing wheel, G910 keyboard, G633 headset, G303 mouse, and a G633 mousepad.

Second place isn’t that bad either considering that whoever finishes there will take home a G920 Driving Force racing wheel, G303 mouse, and a G633 mousepad. Meanwhile, the third placer wins a G920 Driving Force racing wheel and 4th through 10th place will receive Forza Motorsport 6 VIP membership codes and Forza Motorsport 6 Car Pass codes.
