For many years in the best decade of rap music, there was a feud between East and West coast rappers. It lasted for quite some time and spawned some magical music, but it did have its downfalls. There were many physical altercations as well as deaths, including two of the most famous rappers of all time.

In today's world, this battle seems to be over, but there are still some traces left in today's music, if you can understand a word they are saying. Yet, in the hopes of bringing the two coasts together, Ford has sent car customizer Funkmaster Flex a 2011 Mustang GT to customize for Snoop Dogg.

We know many things about the 2011 Mustang and we love it to death, as we find it to be one of the best muscle cars on the road, but we can only imagine what a customizing master like Funkmaster Flex could do to it.

Hit the jump to find out.

Exterior and Interior Thoughts

The exterior of the 2011 Ford Mustang->ke428 by Funkmaster Flex features Baurtwell custom smoked taillights, Funkmaster Flex logos, and a 3dCarbon body kit. Not to mention the wheels, which every rapper's car needs to have, are NC Forged three-piece billets, to top it all off.

The rest of the car keeps the same overall Mustang look. The aluminum pony in the grill has been lightened a shade, not that most people will notice. In addition, the front and rear fascias are slightly tweaked and there's a new lower spoiler and air dam up front.

Under all the show stuff, there have been numerous chassis upgrades, including Steeda lowering springs, sway bars, and springs. To stop this rolling rap machine, Baer provided the brakes.

The Power

The new 5.0-liter V8 puts out 412 hp and 390 lb-ft of torque, the latter on a wonderfully flat curve that peaks at 4250 rpm. It’s enough to knock out a 60-mph sprint in 4.6 seconds, and the quarter-mile in 13.2 seconds at 109 mph, which might not be as quick as some other sports cars, but it's more than enough. Not to mention the fact that the GT is right on par with the Camaro->ke248.

This V-8 is a major evolutionary step for Ford, perhaps the best muscle car motor the Detroit company has ever produced. It wraps the tach needle quickly and without stuttering, but it also cranks out one of the best noises that we have ever heard. In a word, this 5.0 is just brilliant.

There are two new six-speed transmissions, a manual and an automatic. The manual version is the one we would have and it's brilliant. The shifts are smooth, the clutch is properly weighted, and it just turns the car into something great. We don't know if Snoop feels the same way, but if he doesn't, he is wrong.

The Competition

Well, there are numerous competitiors to the Mustang GT, but we're not sure how many there will be to this special version. There are other specialized Mustangs that this version could compete against. You have the 2011 Ford Mustang by MRT, the Mustang by Creations n’ Chrome, the Mustang by Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords, the Mustang by Mobsteel, the Mustang by Raceskinz, the Mustang by Tjin Edition, and the Mustang by Street Scene Equipment.

Each one of these machines brings something neat to the table and we'll just have to evaluate them all at SEMA to see which is the best.

When Will It Be On Sale

It won't. This is a car for Snoop Dogg only. So wait till you see it on eBay.
