Back in August when Aston Martin and Mercedes announced a technology sharing partnership, the speculation the benefactor would be Aston's sports cars. It seems this help will also trickle to the future Lagonda sedan. AutoCar reports that the future large luxury car will share the W222 platform with future S-Class.

The new Lagonda will be engineered to support advanced new hybrid drive systems and new pre-scan suspension technology. The platform has been described as the German car maker’s most advanced system to date.

Lagonda's first concept will be revealed in 2009 and the first production model will follow in 2012.
