Giugiaro is famous for its beautiful designs (recently the Mustang by Giugiaro was the inspiration for the 2010 Mustang.) This time the design house is turing green for its next concept to premiere at the Geneva Motor Show in March.

It’s called the Frazer Nash, and according to the first teaser from the company, it will be the "world’s fastest hybrid car". Giugiaro claims the car has a top speed of 186 mph, which if true, should have no problem holding the speed title. The Frazer Nash may still be able to hold on to the fastest hybrid record even after SSC Ultimate Aero EV breaks cover because the SSC is all-electric.

There have been no details yet on the Frazer Nash’s powertrain (or why Giugiaro choose to name the car after the British sportscar manufacturer,) but it is rumored to have emission of 50 grams CO2/km. We’ll have more coverage of the car from the floor of the Geneva Motor Show.

I’m guessing the engineering firm of Frazer Nash (made up of the remainder of the car firm) lent a hand in the drivetrain.
