In a country replete with supercars, there’s a sure-fire way to get people’s attention and make your car stand out from the rest – a tall order considering that just about every car in the UAE comes with a six-figure price tag. The solution: dress it up in gold.

This Porsche 997 GT2, which was photographed by the folks over at GT Spirit, stands out not because it’s a Porsche – they have a lot of those in that region – or that it’s a racing version of a supercar, but because it’s glittered in a pretty dramatic dark gold exterior.

What’s more, according to GT Spirit, the car is actually for sale, too, which makes us wonder who would pay what we imagine to be an exorbitant sum of Benjamins for a chance to go home with this high-fashion sports car.

What we do know is that if we had the moolah, we’d definitely take a stab at it.

Obviously, the car is an eye catching machine. Since the country is rich and a lot more famous super cars can be spotted in the streets it is only a fair to do an impressive innovation.

The color is not really that good and if I wanted a Porsche, I’d want it for being a Porsche not because it is covered in Gold paint. The performance wont be altered by the paint anyways and it is one of the important things to see in a car as an enthusiast.

Lovely painted job! It really matched with the body trim and wheels set of the GT-2.
