Gran Turismo 5 delayed AGAIN

We were so tempted to put that title in ALL CAPS out of frustration, but, fortunately, better judgment prevailed.

Nevertheless, we’re still pretty miffed, as all of you will be after reading this, that Sony has once again pushed back the release date of Gran Turismo 5.

Yep. That means November 2 is back to being just a regular day for all of us.
The announcement was made through the Playstation Blog and went like this:

“We can confirm that Gran Turismo 5 will not be available this November 2nd, but the game’s release will be coming this holiday season.

We sincerely apologize to GT fans for the delay, however, creator Kazunori Yamauchi and the team at Polyphony Digital want to make certain they are creating the perfect racing experience, and we are confident that this ambitious game will exceed expectations when it launches.”

The only silver lining to all of this is that the game will be released during the holiday season, which really isn’t a long ways from November. But with the way this whole debacle has gone, we’ll only believe it until we see the game out on store shelves.

Kirby’s first exposure into the world of automobiles happened when he caught Knight Rider on television as a five-year old boy. David Hasselhoff didn’t leave much of an impression on him (that happened later on in Baywatch), but KITT certainly did. To this day, Kirby remains convinced that he will one day own a car with the same ‘spirit’ as the original KITT (not the 2008 monstrosity). He doesn't know when that will be, but until then, he’s committed to expressing his love for KITT, and all cars for that matter, here at TopSpeed.  Read More

Forever level of delays. At this point release the damn game and update it via internet. If this game doesn’t give me a back massage, do my taxes, and balance the federal budget, I will be disappointed.

It’s about to be blizzard conditions where I live within the the next month or so. What do you propose I should do outside of shoveling the driveway when I’m snowed in?

Yup pretty much sums it up, still I’m curious now. The new games that are gonna be released are really becoming an influence on my decision to purchase the PS3, but I think I’ll hold it out since I bought a guitar recently.

HAHAHA. Glad I never liked GT to begin with. GT4 ed, Forza 2 was much better. By the time this comes out Forza 4 will be out and destroy GT5.

I cant believe them!!! Are they really serious about this? I mean after the who knows how many delays that they made for this game and after making everyone even the topspeed team believe that this was going to be the final date of its release they delay it again? I’m not just disappointed but mad! Now what do they consider the holiday season? And the holiday season of which year are they planning to release this game? All i can say is this game better be above and beyond amazing after all the delaying that they have made for their fans.
