Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto V was one of the best-selling games of all time when it hit the market last year. Now the company is prepared to re-launch the game on the new-generation consoles and PC, but it is bringing more than fancy graphics to the table.

Rockstar has added an entirely new way to play the game with a first-person-view mode. Before you ask, yes it works in cars as well. So now instead of a high camera, third-person view, you can be immersed in all the mayhem, fun and speed that comes with playing in the Grand Theft Auto->ke4016 universe.

The first person mode will also work in multiplayer, which now supports up to 30 people, so you can race your friends around the city of Los Santos from the cockpit of your favorite car. Not only does this new view make the game more immersive, but it should dramatically increase the fun and excitement of driving around the city. The in-car view should give you a better forward view and sharper control of your movement.

If you already bought the game last year on your Playstation 3->ke3735 or Xbox 360, ->ke3732 Rockstar has implemented a system that will let you move your GTA Online character to the new consoles.

If you didn’t experience the game last year, Rockstar has given you plenty of reasons to make the jump this time. The new game comes out next week on the Playstation 4,->ke4615 Xbox One->ke4786 and PC.

Why It Matters

With a first person mode for Grand Theft Auto V, Rockstar has made incredible strides to making the game feel new and different for players who picked it up last year. This new mode will also make the game far more immersive, but most importantly it proves that Rockstar spent time and energy on making this new version great.

Rather than simply just turn up the visuals a little bit, the act of adding improvements to the multiplayer system, and this new view shows that this last year has been spent perfecting the game. Everything should be more polished, and there should be lots of new content as well. This is not some easy patch job where new console owners are getting a slightly warmed over version of an old game. This is a truly unique and optimized experience that should make for some incredible gaming sessions.

I can't wait.
