The Nissan GT-R is appropriately nicknamed 'Godzilla' for not only being an imposing car, but because it's also extremely fast to boot. Nobody in their wildest dreams, however, would they think that the GT-R would live up to its nickname a little too literally.

A Nissan->ke62 dealership in Gainesville, Florida was the scene of a rather mysterious accident when the entire showroom floor was engulfed in a thick blanket of smoke that came from a burning vehicle. Bet you can guess what the burning car looks like.

There's still no explanation as to why the GT-R ended up getting barbecued, but according to the Gainesville Sun, the fire started shortly after the dealership's security guard closed up, but not before doing a thorough inspection of the floor. We're not going to try and play detectives and assume what happened so we're going to leave that to the investigators to piece together the 'Mystery of the Burning GT-R'. For what it's worth, there's a good story out there that's waiting to be figured out.
