You would think that a guy like Harry Metcalfe is the type of person who shouldn’t be bothered by the mundane nuances of the auto industry. He’s already retired and should be left alone to enjoy some much-deserved peace and quite in the English countryside. But, here’s the thing. Every so often, an automaker makes the call to Metcalfe, asking him to try out its latest vehicle and see if he would give it his stamp of approval. As the founding father of Evo magazine, his opinion still matters.

So, Ferrari->ke252 made the call, telling Metcalfe that it wanted him to drive the new 488 GTB. Metcalfe took up Maranello’s offer, flew down to Italy, and met, presumably for the first time, the successor to the 458 Italia. This brings us to the latest episode of Harry’s Garage, and in true Metcalfe fashion, he wastes little time pouring over all the intricate details of the 488 GTB,->ke5071 right down to the “cleaner” steering wheel and the “jacket space” behind the seats.

I know we have a habit here at TopSpeed of not wanting to spoil review videos->ke278 like this one. We’re not going to change that approach here because if there’s one opinion that you need to hear for yourselves, it’s Harry Metcalfe. So sit down, get comfortable, and turn those speakers up to acceptable levels. Harry Metcalfe talks about the Ferrari 488 GTB, and like the professor that he is, we need to stop everything and listen. Class is in session, folks.
