Hennessey announced the Mammoth 1000 6x6 TRX for the first time towards the end of 2020. It is supposed to be the biggest and most exclusive six-wheel-drive truck ever created by Hennessey in its 30 years of history. Now, about a year and a half later, the tuner announced that the Mammoth finally went into production. Only 12 units will be built, so, if you have an extra half a million sitting around, hurry up!

As its name suggests, the truck is based on the Ram 1500 TRX and measures 283 inches in length, 88 inches in width, and 84 inches in height. Also, while the stock 1500 TRX delivers a total of 702 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque, the Mammoth goes up to an impressive 1,012 horsepower and 969 pound-feet of torque.

Of course, a lot of other changes were required in order to transform this into a 6x6 monster. First of all, the truck features an extra axle, and comes equipped with locking rear axles, Bilstein suspension, and 20-inch wheels wrapped in 37-inch off-road tires.

Unfortunately, all these changes made the truck very expensive. While a base 1500 TRX is priced at $70,325, the Mammoth 1000 6x6 TRX has a price of $449,950; more than six times the price of a standard TRX! The good news is that the standard 1500 TRX is included in the price.

“Everything we do at Hennessey Performance is turned up to 11, but the Mammoth 1000 6x6 is definitely turned up to 12! Everything on the Mammoth 6x6 is bigger, badder, and more imposing – plus, it’s still super-fast, while being a total powerhouse off-road. It’s the undisputed king of the road,” said John Hennessey, company founder and CEO.
