Ladies and gentlemen, the long-awaited Jeep Gladiator is finally here! Okay, okay, the official debut will actually take place a bit later today, but several photos surfaced the web alongside technical specifications ahead of time.

As seen in last week's leak, the Gladiator is a current-generation Wrangler from the nose to the C-pillar. But it features a five-foot bed behind the cabin, a revised tailgate, and a few more unique design cues here and there.

Both six-speed manual and eight-speed automatic gearboxes will be offered. A diesel mill, shared with the Jeep Grand Cherokee, will be introduced for the 2010 model year.

The latter will feature aluminum-bodied shocks, full-length sidebars, 33-inch mud-terrain tires, and optional steel bumpers. The Gladiator will have a 7,650-pound towing capacity in its strongest setup and a 1,600-pound payload rating.
