As we continue to fight off boredom amidst the deadly coronavirus pandemic, Playground Games is dropping a parachute of fun to get our competitive juices flowing again. Forza Horizon 4 is a few days away from receiving a much-needed update that includes a total of six new cars. Of the six, four will be available through seasonal unlocks while the other two will be available courtesy of the returning Horizon Promo feature.

The Series 21 update comes at the perfect time for gamers everywhere, many of whom have been kept at home due to the coronavirus pandemic. At the very least, Playground Games is doing its part to keep us entertained.

What Cars Are included in the Horizon 4 Series 21 Update?

After bringing only three cars into the fold in the Series 20 update, Playground Games doubled up in Series 21 with six new cars arriving in Forza Horizon. Of these six cars, four will be available through seasonal unlocks. These four cars include a 1992 Toyota Supra 2.0 GT Twin Turbo. It’s part of the third-generation A70 line, and it’s the first Supra to carry the “Supra” badge on its own. It’s a delightful car to use in Forza Horizon, too. It packs a 2.0-liter twin-turbocharged straight-six engine that produces over 200 horsepower. It’s not as universally beloved as the fourth-generation A80 Supra, but the A70 still holds a special place in the hearts of Supra aficionados the world over.

Forza Horizon}. Not only is it the most powerful E-Class ever built, but it’s also capable of destroying a lot of the incumbent rides in the game. If you’re after a ride that’s far more modern than the A70 Supra, you can drive a 2018 Mercedes-AMG E 63 S}.

Two scintillating drift cars from Formula D are also available: the #117 Ferrari 599 and the #777 Chevrolet Corvette. Nobody needs to be convinced to play these monster hooligan rides when they arrive with the Series 21 update.

What can we expect from the return of the Horizon Promo feature?

The other two cars included in the Series 21 update are available through the Horizon Promo feature. You’ll need to put on your photographer’s hat to gain access to a 2018 Ferrari Portofino and a Guntherwerks 400R. The latter is a spectacular restomod of a 993-generation Porsche 911 that’s not too different from the works we’ve seen from Singer and Emery. The 400R, in particular, boasts a 4.0-liter flat-six engine with over 400 horsepower on tap. It might not look the part of a conqueror, but it still packs a wallop.

As I mentioned, the Portofino and the 400R are only available through the Horizon Promo feature. You can win the Ferrari supercar by photographing 100 total cars across the entire game while the Guntherwerks 400R can only be accessed after taking 200 photos of cars in the game.

When is the Series 21 update for Forza Horizon 4 arriving?

The update is supposed to arrive sometime this week so that could be in a few days. Either way, it shouldn’t take long for any of you to download the update once it’s available. There’s nothing else to do anyway.
