The Model 3 Performance has proven its worth time and again on drag strips and in straight-line races. It has put some big names to shame courtesy of its fantastic instant torque deliver and speed-raking skills. But, how does it perform on the ‘Lord of the Rings’ called the Nurburgring? Racetrack-expert, Misha Charoudin, took it to the iconic track, and it left him impressed, but he had a few pointers for Tesla as well.

What Does It Feel Like To Drive A Tesla Model 3 Performance On The Track?

He recently got an invitation from a Tesla Model 3 Performance owner to test the car on the ‘Ring, accompanied by the owner as the co-passenger. It was Misha’s first time on the track with an electric vehicle, and he seemed happy with the car’s acceleration and how the Model 3 has gotten better over the years in the overheating aspect. Even in terms of acceleration, he was happy and even touched speeds of 226 kmph (140 mph).

However, he wasn’t happy with the brakes and went on to say that “they are one of the first”. The regenerative braking makes up for it on normal roads, but for tracks, that’s not sufficient. This particular example isn’t equipped with the Track Package that Tesla offers at an additional cost. That certainly makes it a better track car, and here’s all the stuff you get in the package:

-* 4 x 20″ X 9″ Zero-G Performance wheels

-* 4 x Tesla Logo Center Caps

-* 20 x Lug Nut Covers

-* 4 x 245/35 ZR 20 XL Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 Tires

-* 4 x Tire Pressure Sensors

-* 1 x Front And Rear High-Performance Brake Pads

-* 1 x Track-Focused Brake Fluid

It also includes compressor overlock and post-drive cooling options, and stuff like an Accelerometer, satellite maps, a G-force meter, etc. So, with all that, the Tesla Model 3 could do even better.
