After a two-year hiatus, the New York Auto show returned for 2022. Several big brands like BMW, Mercedes, JLR were absent
Held at the Javits Center in Manhattan, domestic heavy weights like Ford, GM, and Stellantis had a big presence
Legacy auto was present in full force, but EVs were the main draw at this years show, with almost every automaker having some sort of hybrid or all-electric vehicle on display
Vietnamese automaker, Vinfast along with INDI EV were amongst the startups sharing the floor space with the mainstream brands
Ford had an indoor test track, where visitors could sample the F-150 Lightning and the Mustang Mach-E
Hyundai too had their futuristic IONIQ 5 running around on an indoor test track. With zero-emissions, there was nothing to worry about, running these EVs indoors
GM had its entire range of cars and sports cars
SUVs and trucks. The Silverado EV stood for sure
The latest Z06 took center stage at the Chevy booth
Moving onto Stellantis, Jeep had a vast display of various iterations of its Wrangler and Grand Cherokee
But the Wagoneer and the Grand Wagoneer were the highlights here
Chrysler unveiled the sinister all-electric Air Flow concept with 402 hp, courtesy of its two 150kW eclectic motors
RAM trucks was present with its badass 1500 TRX
Rounding off the Stellantis stand was Fiat with its 500e
Along with fellow Italian brand's Alfa Romeo Giulia and the Stelvio SUV
Korean heavyweights KIA and Hyundai refreshed the popular Telluride and Palisade 3-row mid-size SUVs for 2022
KIA also unveiled an all-new Niro Crossover and sister brand Genesis had the X Speedium concept
But perhaps one of the most outlandish displays of the show was Subaru
They really brought the outdoors in. Seen here are the updated Outback and the Solterea EV
Japanese big-wig, Toyota was also present with its latest range of SUVs and trucks
Toyota's Gazoo racing also had some Supra's on display along with the recently unveiled GR Corolla
The Japanese brand's luxury arm, Lexus had a decent line up of cars as well
Nissan had its Ariya EV crossover along with the Pathfinder Rock Creek edition and the Z on display
Infiniti had the usual crop of SUVs. Seen here is the QX60
