To a lot of us, the name "Hispano Suiza" sounds more like the name of a high-flying Mexican wrestler. But if you know you’re auto history, then you probably recognize that name as a very famous luxury automotive and engineering firm back in the ’20s.

80 or so years later, that very same name will once again be brought to our attention as it makes an appearance at the Geneva Motor Show in about a weeks time. If you’re wondering what it is that we’re talking about, the new Hispano Suiza is a 750 horsepower supercar that is set to go on sale this summer at an impressive price of 700,000 euro ($950,000).

The Hispano Suiza is powered by a 5.2 liter V10 Supercharged engine that delivers the staggering 750 horsepower through a 4-wheel drive system. The supercar sprints from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds while top speed will go up to 206 mph. Very, very impressive - to say the least.

Stay tuned for more details!

Although retaining the Audi R8’s 5.2-liter V-10 engine, the company fitted it with two superchargers, boosting the horsepower up to 739.

So, Its basically a coach built sl65 black series. If they can price it under $500,000 I think its worth it. Cool car.

This is one of the super cars that people loved to have, after the show I bet more purchasers will get wild just to have this one.

Most of the cars I’ve seen is cool and classy but this one has a unique elegance that other’s don’t have. An awesome engine of course but the exterior is really something.

The brand does sound a little like a wrestler from Mexico but at least it sounds a little different. A little original and a little less American, Japanese or European made car. It makes it a little bit more exciting to see and feel (if given the chance to test drive).

Wow, that car is that expensive? Well, is it close to the performance of Veyron in terms of speed? Is it as cool as a Lamborghini or Ferrari in both exterior and interior? Well, hopefully I can see one soon to stop the anticipation or something.

I’m pretty sure that there has been an imitation of some parts of the exterior with other cars. Well, not purely imitation but I guess it’s more appropriate that there has been a lot of other cars that has been an inspiration for this new build.

i hope this guys gets the support he needs to build this. Nice fresh idea, and if it comes out soonish it may beat the design of the Lexus LFA as it obviously take styling cues from that !

It does look a lot like the R8, but judging by the windows, roofline, side intakes, side mirrors and overall dimensions, I’m wondering if this thing is based on the Gallardo.

Resembles the R8 on some aspects... Though they are only on the design... The bhp and the price are way away from those of the R8...
