Honda Drive Recorder
Honda presented the Drive Recorder that will detect impacts and save information for the 12 seconds before and 8 seconds afterwards, aircraft black-box-style: forward-view imagery, along with sound and data on speed and deceleration rates all get stored on an SD card in its main unit, ready to be uploaded to a PC.
The Honda drive recorder uses flash memory and a 512-Mb SD memory card with thermo resistance optimized for automobile applications. Storing video in flash memory first, the drive recorder next transmits the part before and after an accident is triggered to the SD memory card. Video can additionally be recorded onto a standard SD memory card in addition to SD memory cards tailored for automobile applications.

The Honda driver recorder will be available in Japan for approximately ¥54,600 (around $500).
