The new Honda CR-Z is already a very successful model. If you remember, a while ago we reported that demand in Japan in stronger than expected. So Honda’s decision to bring a more powerful hybrid coupe on the market comes with no surprise.

While there are no official details on it, rumors suggest the next hybrid sports coupe will feature a more fuel efficient 2.5-liter, four-cylinder gas engine attached to Honda’s well-known IMA hybrid system.

The future car will have the same size as the Accord Coupe and will have a four-seats configurations. Motor Trend also reports that Honda is currently testing a system similar to the Chevy Volt’s range extender plug-in hybrid system that will be used on large cars and SUVs.

Yeah, I have read previously that the demand for this car in Japan is quite high. However, still there are many that questions about the safety of this car. Well, I think with their newer version the problem has been already solved.

No wonder why Honda continuous to upgrade and modify this version because it s quite successful in the market! However, still it wouldn’t change the fact that I couldn’t have one of this due to high price tag! How sad!

Honda being one of the iconic name in the auto industry gets crazy. Why do they need to kill the S2000? since that brand is a history. Get on you senses Honda make CRZ but please show us the new s2000.

I just remember that when I drove the Civic Hybrid that it had a ridiculous amount of kick and was very fun to drive. Way more than it should have for its miniscule engine.

Audi is reportedly working on a higher-performance version of the TTS, which is expected to get a turbocharged five-cylinder with 308 hp.

IMO they call it. integrated Motor Assist, bull . this is fraud. Honda shouldn’t even be allowed to call there cars hybrids. test drive one, as soon as you let of the brake pedal, from a complete stop, the gasoline engine starts right up. it’s the same things as turning your car off everytime stop the car, then start it back up when you push the gas pedal

Honda doesn’t even make a full hybrid yet. like the Toyota Prius. The Prius can drive in all electric in city driving. the Honda, otherwise known as a hollow hybrid or stop start hybrid, can’t even drive with electric only/silent operation. what a joke the Honda Hybrid technology is.

He’s right, we can’t judge it until it come out in prototype and roll it over a concrete with it’s competitors.

I can’t judge it until they release the prototype. As of now Good Luck for Honda.

That is good news then. It has been a really good buzz in Japan so if they are to make a car that is more powerful and more efficient than the CR-Z, I’m pretty sure that it’s going to be a good hit not just in Japan but hopefully worldwide.

I doubt, it’s been a while since they released their CR-z. It’s about time to plan the new models for 2011-2012 for them to not get left behind over the market.

I agree, honda will never settle for those korean Sports Coupe. They even make their own version more powerful.
