Tesla cars have proven themselves time and again, especially Performance models. Even the Model 3 Performance has given a tough fight to many sports cars known for their speed and agility. In yet another similar test, YouTuber Arty put his Model 3 Performance against his Porsche GT3 RS since both of them have very similar 0-62 mph times, but are completely different at their core. Which one do you think will win the race?

How Did The Cars Fare Against Each Other?

In round 1, the Model 3 blew the GT3 RS out of the water. The Porsche wasn’t even close to the Tesla. In the second round, the GT3RS had a better start, but it didn’t take the Model 3 any time to just zoom past it. Despite being so closely spec’d on paper, this was not a close competition by any means. In the rest of the video, you just see the Porsche being driven on mountain roads. It sure sounds amazing, though.

How Are Both The Cars Spec’d?

Coming to the specs of the cars, the Porsche GT3 RS in this video is a 2016 model. It is powered by a 4.0-liter, six-cylinder engine that makes 500 horses and 339 pound-feet of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. 0-60 mph comes in 3.3 seconds.

The Model 3 Performance comes with one motor on each axle so power gets to all four wheels. It churns out around 580 ponies and 481 pound-feet of twist that helps it gallop to 62 mph from a standstill in just 3.2 seconds and go all the way up to 145 mph before losing steam. This trim is packed with a 75-kWh battery pack in the floor that can deliver 322 miles on a full charge, according to Tesla.
